The reunion was a huge success!
We had 146 retired members in attendance. A number of Thank You's are in order: a grateful thanks to Mark Donahue, Kathy Moore and Joe Tovar of the FOP. Your help and assistance were invaluable.
A big Thank You to Superintendent Phil Cline who came a addressed the troops. The Memorial foundation does so many wonderful things, it is difficult to know where to start in naming them.
Many thanks to those who volunteered their time to work the door, and the bar. The event raised $3,200 for the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.
And especially, thank you to all who came down to the event, to reunite and reconnect with long lost coworkers. Many of the 'mini-reunions' were touching and long overdue.
Thanks to all Chicago Police officers, past and present, who came together to show their unity. The thin blue line continues to represent what it always did: courage over fear, law over anarchy, and commitment to the ideals of liberty and freedom.
